YW in Excellence

This Tuesday evening is our Young Women in Excellence.  This is the night where each YW is recognized for all the good things she has been working on all year.  Each YW needs to bring something to display that she has worked on this year.   The display may include a talent or skill she has developed through Personal Progress.  Parents are invited to come with their daughters.  It will be a wonderful evening.  All the leaders have been working hard to make this a special night.  It starts at 7:00pm.  See you then!!

Joint Activity

We had a great Young Woman and Young Men activity last week.  We had some special guests come and talk to the youth about missionary work.  When the youth came we gave each a missionary name tag.  Then we were treated with some amazing missionary stories from Jeri Blackwells parents, who have served 4 missions!    Then we had Elder Wood talk to the youth about what its like to be a missionary.  We then had leaders and parents go to different classrooms and the youth pared up, like missionaries, and they came to classrooms and pretended to be missionaries and introduce themselves and the church to us.  They did a fantastic job.  There will be some great missionaries coming from our ward!  Thanks for a great evening Beehives and Deacons!
